1947 Ford Pickup.

The FORD MOTOR COMPANY paid $800,000.00 to private restorer, Dave Hill and his father, Len, who purchased the truck from a farmer, the ORIGINAL OWNER, who bought it brand new in 1947 will all its factory installed options.

This 1/2 ton pickup truck, according to Ford records, is one of only 35 that was ordered and built in 1947 installed with a McCulloch water cooled supercharger, special carburetor, special low profile air cleaner due to hood height, Edmunds finned aluminum heads, Fenton cast iron headers and dual exhaust.  Other factory installed options include sliding rear window, windshield mounted sun visor, vacuum powered dash fan, compass, ashtray, smokers kit, locking steering column, dome light, inside sun visors, fog lights bumper mounted, some form of "cruise control" with knob & wire in dash.

Dave and Len has added their own custom touches like the early luggage rack metal box in pickup bed, blue dot twin taillights and a metal covered spare tire cover (plus a few other goodies).

As one of ONLY 35 documented originally built it may be the only remaining original numbers matching example authenticated by a team of Ford Museum employees before the purchase was made.
